These fully enclosed trailers load from the rear through swing doors or roll-up doors and sit at dock height, making them compatible with standard warehouse and distribution center loading docks. Dry van freight service works for the majority of commercial cargo moving within the US or crossing the US-Canada or US-Mexico borders. If your freight ships from a distribution center and delivers to a facility with a standard dock, a dry van is almost always the right call.

Trailers
Conestoga trailers use a retractable tarp system that folds back over the cargo after loading, creating a fully enclosed environment while allowing side loading. This is the key distinction from a standard dry van: freight that cannot be loaded or unloaded through rear doors, whether due to dimensions, crane access requirements, or facility layout, can still move under a closed deck configuration with a conestoga. We offer both 48-foot and 53-foot conestoga flatbeds and conestoga stepdecks across all North American regions. If your load needs overhead or side access at origin or destination, this is the most practical enclosed option available.
